The X Factor USA Season 3 is nearing a quick finale. And with that, there is only 4 people left. And by the time we get down to that spot, someone has to go home. Every week. Each week people need to go home and it’s very much known.
However, Season 3 of the X Factor continues to shock viewers with who is going home every week. From Rachel Potter to Tim Olstad, to most recently, Ellona. In writing this, I had to go back and watch the episode from Wednesday night and see what happened to the show.
Everyone in the top 6 deserves to be there. And realistically, everyone in the top4 deserves to be there as well. But Ellona had the BEST performances of the night. She was solid on every song she performed. She has the X Factor.
And that right there is what worked against her. Much like during the 5th Season of American Idol, Chris Daughtry had perfect performances and went home in 5th place, leading to Taylor Hicks winning. Now, there isn’t a Taylor Hicks in this run of the X Factor, but America thought that Ellona had it in her back pocket and maybe didn’t vote as much.
The judges praised her. And usually that means they are safe. But that may have been the exact thing that cost her votes. America thought she was safe.
Here’s my prediction: She will be signed by the end of the week. Emblem3 were offered a contract the minute they walked off the stage. I feel like Ellona is already a star. I am so glad Intensity didn’t take off, because we wouldn’t have had this. We wouldn’t have had Ellona on the X Factor Season 3. And more importantly, I wouldn’t have someone I am excited to take her steps into Diva-hood.
Don’t send Ellona pity. Sent her encouragement. Show her that you love her. That you want the best for her. Not that you’re sad. Give her reason to move forward with her career.
