Wendy Williams will officially miss her season premier week due to ongoing health issues.
TheWrap.com is reporting that Williams continues to face health issues after contracting Covid last month. Williams is set to miss significant time from her show and the network has announced plans to have guest hosts.
Leah Remini will be stepping in as guest for for Williams starting on Tuesday of next week. Monday’s premiere will have a panel including Devyn Simone, Bevy Smith, Elizabeth Wagmeister and Michael Yo.
“Wendy continues to be under medical supervision and meets with her medical team on a daily basis,” the show said in a statement. “She is making progress but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ Disease and her thyroid condition. It has been determined that more time is needed before she is able to return to her live hosting duties.”
The Wendy Williams Show will premiere on Monday.
