Welcome to my gaming page!

My name is Nate Viramontes and I am in charge of running a brand spanking new video game section for multimediamouth.com. I figured I’d start with a little about me and how the page will work.

Each month I’ll publish a list of all the new releases. These will include my hot picks on what to play and every so often I’ll include reviews. As you might have guessed, this is all about video games, duh, so I’ll also have random articles about classic video games and current video game news. For today, here’s my top 5 favorite games of all time. This will help you get an understanding of my gaming background. Be sure to keep an eye at the end of each article as I’ll be telling you what game I’m currently playing!

5. Assassin Creed Revelations

Assassins Creed is a long running Sandbox style adventure game series. What makes Assassin Creed Revelations my favorite of the series is it is the last chapter of Ezio’s trilogy. Despite the serious nature of the series moments like Ezio dressing up as a musician to sneak into a party, have always been to me, dumb but wonderfully funny. This game wraps up the Ezio story line so well.

The moment shared between him and Desmond, at the end of the game, I adore to this day. Ezio to me is still the best assassin to date with few others like Edward Kenway coming close to meeting his legendary status in the franchise.

4. Mortal Kombat 9

Alright say with me now everyone, Finish him! This was my first ever Mortal Kombat game. I had always played fighting games like Super Smash Bros. and Virtua Fighter, but this was the fighting game that set the standard for the fighting game genre. With easy to master combos a wonderful story and amazing roster of fighters, Mortal Kombat 9 is definitely one of my all time great fighter games. Sub-zero all the way!

3. Skyrim
Skyrim was the first RPG I ever played. I didn’t know much of the genre when I was growing up, as action and shooting games were more my taste, but man when I found this game! I was overwhelmed with love and shock for the amount of freedom this game gave to do whatever I wanted. I become a werewolf, a thief, an assassinyou name it I did it.

2. Marvel Spider-Man
Now I know what your thinking yes, this game just came out a month ago, but that’s how quickly this game touched me. I’m a huge Spider-Man fan and this game was everything I wanted and so much more. From the overall story and characters, to that sweet sweet combat I was immersed so deeply in, this game had it all when it came out. I still web sling for fun. It’s so relaxing to just web around New York City and beat up bad guys.

1. Halo 3

oh, how I have talked a lot about these amazing games! I’ve played the entire series, but they all pale in comparison to Halo 3. Now I’ve been playing games since ’97 ( keep in mind I’m 22). I’ve loved all the games I’ve played up to this point. However, I will never forget coming home 6th grade and seeing my dad dual wielding two plasma pistols. He gave me the controller, much to my mother’s dismay for the violence on screen, and my dad simply goes “it’s cool it’s not to bad.” And that was how I became a gamer of the hardest core. After, from multiplayer to the story, and of course because of Master Chief, this game really helped make me who I am. If you haven’t played any of the games on this list, do yourself a favor and, at least play Halo 3.

And that’s the list and the end of the very first article for the brand new video game section. Hope you liked it. Come back every week for more updates!
