The Voice Top 8 Elimination Night

Tonight proved to be one of the hardest nights in the history of The Voice when this season’s Top 8 said goodbye to 3 of its members, leaving the remaining contestants as the triumphant Top 5. Coach Adam Levine has found this particular group  to be, “the best Top 8 of The Voice has ever had, and his fellow coaches, along with the audience, couldn’t agree more. Coach Blake Shelton shared early on in the night that the “competition is so tight that [he] has no idea who is going home.”

The First two to be safe tonight were Coach Adam’s Matt McAndrew and Damien. Following shortly after were Taylor John Williams & Craig Wayne Boyd, completing season 7’s Top 4.

The Bottom 4 went on to fight vigorously and passionately for a shot at an instant save by America with only 90 seconds each to showcase their talents, and for 3 of them, this was their final performance on The Voice stage. As soon as the 5 minute Twitter Save window of opportunity opened, Chris Jamison was automatically in the lead, possessing over 50% of the votes.

Soon enough, Chris Jamison found himself instantly saved by America as well as the final member of The Voice Season 7 Top 5. Though their Voice journeys ended tonight, it is surely not the end of the road for Danica Shirey, Luke Wade, & Ryan Sill. Coach Blake notes that every one of these top 8 contestants “brings something to the table that is worthy of fame.”

There you have it America, The Voice Top 5, eager to compete for the ultimate winning title. Tune in next week to the Semifinal performance, where the stage will surely heat up in one of the final stages of the battle.
