The night is finally here! Coaches Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton are back for the season 9 premiere of The Voice on NBC! Join us tonight as we will be hosting a Live Blog during the premiere!

The show begins with the Judges talking about why they are apart of the Voice and then begin the premier medley that the show is famous for. Gwen Stefani sings Neon Lights by Blake Shelton, Blake sings No Doubts’ Dont Speak and Pharrell sings Maroon 5s Sugar with Adam Levine singing Get Lucky by Daft Punk & Pharrell.This Medley wasnt as good as previous years medleys.

Carson does a voice over highlighting the blinds, and then we see Gwen’s first day back! And now lets welcome Mark Hood.
Mark Hood is a young starving actor and singer. He comes out like Usher meets Justin Timberlake and gets a two chair spin right away from Pharrell and Adam! And then Gwen turns! This dude has everyone dancing and into his performance. Blake turns and its an official 4 Chair turnaround.
While Adam and Gwen are trying to one up each other, Pharrell comes out and asks him what type of music he wants to perform and he says John Legend meets Pharrell. Hood picks Pharrell and the two embrace.

15 year-old Braiden Sunshine, yes that is truly his name. He got his start singing at a church and was offered a position in a band as the youngest member. (The rest are college students.) Braiden comes out with a very sweet tone. Cameras go back and forth to judges, no one has turned yet. Then it happens! Pharrell and Gwen push their buttons right at the end!!!!
Braiden is left to make the tough decision on which judge he would like to work with. Blake calls it a “custody battle.” After hearing what Pharrell and Gwen have to say, he chooses….
GWEN STEFANI!!!! She starts cheering and even gives him a t-shirt.

Skier, Michael Woolery, was training for the 2014 Olympics until he had a horrible accident and he could no longer compete. After that his love for music grew. He comes out with a soft ballad and sings his heart out. Judges aren’t quite feeling it yet, and sadly the end of the song comes and none of the judges pushed their button.
Gwen points out that he might have got nervous as the song went on. All judges do agree though that there is potential for him.

35 year old Barrett Baber comes along with his wife and two kids. He tells the story about a college trip from Germany and how he was able to save a few people. It truly was a tragedy, and he shows how thankful he is to be given such the opportunity.
Barrett comes out singing “Angel Eyes” and immediately Blake Shelton is blown away. Which leads to Blake and Adam both pushing their buttons. Not too long after comes Pharrell and Gwen, making it a 4chair turn for this contestant!
Truly an impressive performance from Barrett. After hearing each coach fight for his pick, he chooses….
No surprise here, BLAKE SHELTON!! These two are a great pairing, and another no brainer, Blake just has to rub it in his face! The Bromance continues!
