Verizon announced last week that they lost 67,000 subscribers to their Fios TV service last quarter, up from 63,000 from last year Q3. Overall, Fios has lost close to 100,000 users.
The close of Q3, Verizon had 4.2 million subscribers. The company said that the loss of customers was “reflecting the ongoing shift from traditional linear video to over-the-top offerings”.
Verizon will be the exclusive mobile partner for Disney+, the new over-the-top streaming service from Disney.
