Uber is currently riding a wave of good news: they may be profitable and the end of 2020. News of potential profitability came from CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi. Dara predicted last year that he expects profitability in 2021.
Wall Street is reacting well of the news that Uber might reach profits sooner than expected. In quarter 4 of 2019, Uber announced $4.07 Billion in revenue, 37% more than expected from Wall Street.
Uber is also planning on shutting down their Uber Eats service in markets where they aren’t one of the top 2 players.
