Tonight, the Top 8 artists performed not once, but TWICE to battle it out for the Top 4 spots in the finals. This season has brought some pretty amazing performances from the contestants, and now that we are in the semi-finals, they are getting even better!
The performances from tonight include 8 solo performances, and 4 duets performed by the contestants. So many amazing songs and performances, so let’s get into this recap.
First up to perform tonight is Hunter Plake, from Team Gwen, performing “With or Without You.”
I was really excited to hear that he was performing this song because its perfect for his voice. Hunter did not disappoint with this performance; it was truly amazing.
Next up, we have our first duet of the night, Chris Blue and Vanessa Ferguson performing “If I Ain’t Got You.”
It’s kind of spooky how similar Vanessa sounds like Alicia… but overall, the performance is perfect. Coach Alicia looks absolutely mesmerized by the whole performance.
TSoul, from Team Blake, is next performing “Ain’t No Way.”
There is so much emotion in this performance, so beautifully sung. There is no doubt that TSoul has the power and emotion to perform this kind of music.
Next is Brennley Brown, from Team Gwen, performing “Suds in a Bucket.”
This song is different from what Brennley normally performs but it is still absolutely amazing. I think this performance showed us that she could do way more with her voice; there is a lot of potential there.
The second duet of the night is Aliyah Moulden and Hunter Plake performing “Let It Go.”
These two were perfect to perform this song, and I love their rendition of the song. Great performance overall from these two!
Lauren Duski, from Team Blake, is next performing “Ghost in the House.”
Lauren never fails to amaze me during her performances. Every week she puts in so much emotion and every time she sings just so flawlessly. I am truly impressed by her talent.
The next duet for tonight is Jesse Larson and TSoul performing “I Wish.”
This is the perfect song for these two to share the stage for. Both energetic and soulful, awesome performance!
Chris Blue, from Team Alicia, takes the stage for his solo of “Take Me to the King.”
Similar to Brennley, not the type of song or performance that we are used to seeing from Chris. But it is still pretty amazing and soulful.
Vanessa Ferguson, from Team Alicia, is back on stage performing “Superstar.”
After being in the bottom three last night, Vanessa knew she had to prove herself to be at the top. With this performance, I think she succeeded. Her outfit, her voice, everything was perfect during this performance.
Lauren Duski and Brennley Brown are the final duet of the night performing “Good-Hearted Woman.”
The two country girls in the competition absolutely killed this performance. So powerful and amazing, so energetic, one of my favorite performances from the night!
Jesse Larson, from Team Adam, performing “I Was Wrong.”
Side note congratulations to Jesse who announced that his wife is expecting their first child! To top it all off, he truly gave an amazing performance. Jesse has so much power in his voice, I’m glad that he is the final standing on Team Adam!
Closing out the night is Aliyah Moulden, from Team Blake, performing “I Can Only Imagine.”
I think that Aliyah’s performance was the perfect one to close out the show with. She’s so young, yet has so much passion during her performances, absolutely amazing.
So, how are we only supposed to choose FOUR of these artists to move on to the finale?!
