X Factor Live Blog!

And the live blog is officially underway!

Auditions continue in Long Island…

Up first is Melanie Wright 48, and she loves gloves just like Paulina! She will be singing Titanium by David Guetta and this is pretty painful to watch in a very bad way! The look on the judges faces says it all. Simon asked why she chose that song and it was like finding out Cinderella works at the playboy mansion…Awkward! Looks like they were obvious no’s across the panel.

Oksana Mamchur gave the judges painful looks and obviously they all agreed on Noooo!

Rob Zarro was super funny and energetic but Simon thought it was like watching something out of Austin Powers

Maya Lehmann made me laugh because her voice was bad! Simon thought her singing wasn’t even human haha!

Ruben Gloria is dressed like tiger…WHAT! No from all the judges…not off to a good start.

We got a super cutie up next who all the contestants seem to be flirting with, he’s Emery Kelly, 15. He’s singing I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz and no lie hes pretty good, could have improvement but good! The girls are loving him and Simon thinks hes an unpolished diamond who can grow. Emery got 4 yeses!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Were back with Khaya Cohen, 15 and Simon cuts her off saying the song isn’t working but I thought she was doing really well. She’s got a chance to sing her 2nd song and DAMN this girl has a lovely jazzy type voice and I’m loving it! Guess what…so are the judges! Demi is so excited to hear a voice like hers, Paulina can’t believe that came out of a 15 year old voice. Simon thinks she sounds like Amy Winehouse and Adele. WOAH! Demi predicts they will see her in the final! Ms. Khaya got all yeses!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Woah high voice! This is weird..Joseph Tolve, 19 is singing Skyscraper by Demi and he’s sadly butchering her wonderful song. The judges think his voice should be for a voice over artist and they wish him luck but no no no no from the judges.

James Kenny from Portland Oregon has such a cute family! And damnnnnnnn his voice! Reminds me of Adam Levine. He is really putting some soul into his singing. The ladies were delighted along with Simon. Everyone gave a yes for James! Awwww his family came onstage so CUTE!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

A football player, Isaac Tauaefa, 23. Demi said maybe football wasn’t his calling music is. All the judges vote yes!

Chase Goehring, 17 wrote his own song and performed very well. 4 yeses

Allison Davis, sing it girl! 4 yeses.

Isabel Requena, can sure as hell sing! 4 yeses

Isiah Alston has such a soulful voice WOW! Demi thinks he has a potential to be a little Michael Jackson! 4 yeses.

Hello hot guy who is performing for his girlfriend, so freaking cute! OMG! He’s going to propose onstage!! Her dad just gave his blessing! This is adorable! Such love birds. He’s singing Nice and Slow by Usher. Oh noooo, he can’t sing I’m so upset this whole moment was going so well! All the judges are voting nooo! Oh wait his girlfriend is auditioning too! Lauren is singing Teenage Dream by Katy Perry and hello she sings pretty great! Oh boy oh boy! He’s about to propose!!! AHHH he’s on one knee AHHH he just proposed!!!!!!!!! She said YESSSS!!!! The crowd is going wild!!!!! Ok awkward all the judges said no? I thought she was good though..ok then.

Now were going over to Denver. Ok looks like Simon is late, show must go on!

Tim Olstad  is super nervous! Lets hope all goes well for him! He’s singing one of my all time personal favorite songs A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. Aw hes so scared and nervous but is singing wonderful! All the girls are giving 100% yes! He gave me chills and Demi.

Simon is back!!! And he said he heard him sing and he liked it!

Were back, be sure to watch tomorrow to find out who the judges choose to mentor.

Looks like someone is head over heels for Kelly! Wesley Mountain I think your drooling. He is so in love! Woah talk about balls! He just walked up to her and kissed her hand! He’s singing Wanted by Hunter Haynes. So I’m skeptical he’s good but has moments that don’t sound good he could use some work. Demi said she thought he was so creepy at first but has a good voice and he went from creepy to cute. Simon thinks he should take a cold shower. Wesley is a lucky guy and got yeses from all the judges.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Celine Polenghi has a cute outfit and fantastic voice! Simon thinks she has massive potential and he sees a future popstar. 4 big fat yeses!

Bree Randall, 20 sings Treasure by Bruno Mars. Yes from all the judges.

Primrose Martin sings Nobody’s Perfect by Jessie J. 4 yeses.

Summer Reign, WOAH she can sing! Got all 4 yeses from the judges.

The girls category is looking extremely good!

Ricky Clark, 19 loves to sing and knows he has the X Factor, hello confidence! He will sing Superstition by Stevie Wonder. Simon didn’t like what he heard but he sang pretty well I think. Kelly is giving him a pep talk. The judges say its a no for now but I honestly thought he sang really good!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Lets take a ride to L.A with only Kelly and Simon present.

We have a women athlete, Lorie Moore, in the house singing I Got Nothing by Whitney Houston. The crowd is going wild because hell yeah she can sing so good! Kelly thinks she didn’t sing she SANG! Simon thinks it was more than an audition but a performance and that she is very good. 2 yeses!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Second Hand High is up and Demi is back as well. They are singing an original song. OHHH MYYY GOSHHH!!! I am so embarrassed for them…Its a funny catchy song but noooooo. Simon thinks they should change the name of them to deluded and he won’t ask them to dance! Kelly liked the main lyrics and thought it was catchy. Demi liked watching the audience dance. Nooo from the judges.

OHMYGOSH the judges made a music video spoof to the song!!! I’m dying!!! This is very funny ahaha!

Simon Cowell Sings on X Factor

After over a decade of criticizing singers for a living, Simon Cowell has revealed what his own singing voice sounds like.

On Thursday’s “X Factor,” he sang a line of what was supposed of Elvis’ “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”

The impromptu song was brought on by a joke from fellow judge Demi Lovato.  Following a less than impressive audition from one hopeful, Demi remarked that she had a feeling the contestant’s voice is what Simon’s would sound like.

The 54-year-old father-to-be refused to take the mic, until new judge Kelly Rowland jumped onto the stage to fetch the contestant’s microphone for him.  Kelly then held him down to his seat and with the microphone in his face, leaving him no choice but to please the crowd.  After singing, Simon said, “Thank you. That will never be aired.”

Auditions continue on season three of “X Factor” next Wednesday on Fox.

The X Factor Slashes Prize Money

Simon Cowell has slashed the prize money on The X Factor US as he felt $5million was ‘almost too much’.

The TV mogul added that while the prize money is smaller, the winning contestant will still be awarded a recording contract.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour, TV Line quotes Cowell as saying: ‘[The winner will receive] $1million, still get a recording contract with Sony and become a number one priority.’

He added that he felt comfortable with his new judging panel, which consists of Cowell, Paulina Rubio, Kelly Rowland and Demi Lovato.

‘I feel really comfortable with the girls and I think it’s going to be the best show we’ve made so far’ Cowell added.

It’s got an energy about it this year which has been lacking before. So, I’m confident.’

The previous panel consisted of Lovato, Britney Spears, Cowell and producer LA Reid.

It also surfaced that the third season will focus more on the contestants’ performances by scaling back on the extravagant sets and background dancers until further down the line in the season.

Executive producer Rob Wade told ETOnline: ‘We love production and don’t want to lost production on the show, but it’s something you’ll see gradually build up over the weeks.

Emblem 3 talks about ‘Chloe”

(Yahoo!) – Khloe Kardashian may not be returning to “The X Factor” to host Season 3, but there are some Season 2 contestants who clearly still harbor fond feelings for her.

A source close to last season’s fourth-runners-up Emblem3, who recently signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco label and released their debut single “Chloe,” has exclusively confirmed to Yahoo! Music’s Reality Rocks that the single really is a love letter to the youngest and tallest Kardashian sister.

Some of the telltale lyrics to “Chloe” include: “Chloe, I know your sister turns everyone on/But you’re the one I want”; “Front page magazine/Everybody says that she’s the queen”; “She likes the flashing lights/I love the way that you like candlelight.” And so on. The entire song is an ode to a girl who lives in her sister’s shadow (a la Jan to “The Brady Bunch’s” Marcia Marcia Marcia). And it seems that Khloe is the modern-day Jan Brady, in Emblem3’s eyes.

“The guys would never admit it because they’re all shy about it, but ‘Chloe’ is totally based on Khloe Kardashian,” a friend of the hip-pop trio reveals. “One of the guys in particular was saying that she’s the coolest and hottest of the sisters. That’s where they got the term ‘She’s a Chloe’ from. It’s about girls like Khloe Kardashian, who get overlooked because they’ve got a friend or a sister like Kim who steals all the attention.”

New X Factor Judges Confirmed

Well, it looks like season 3 of the X Factor might not be as fun as season 2, but there will be alot of females.

Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio have been confirmed as new judges to the X Factor, along side Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato. Yes, you heard that correctly, a 3 women panel with one man. It’s going to be interesting.

“It’s taken more than a decade but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!),” Cowell quipped in a statement. “Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.”

 

“I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and The X Factor family,” Rowland said in a statement that was posted to The X Factor‘s Facebook page. “It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the states!”

“Simon, be careful what you wish for, let’s see if you are ready to handle me, empieza la fiesta, amigo!” Paulina Rubio.

Mario Lopez Officially Set to Host The X Factor Season 3

So we announced a few months back that Mario Lopez was basically in for season 3.

In a statement, producers said: “Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Of Lopez, Simon Cowell added: “I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor. Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.”

Mario Lopez and wife expecting second child

Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney Mazza have confirmed that the happy family will soon be four instead of three. That’s right, Lopez and Mazza are expecting their second child, a little boy or girl who will join Gia, aged 2 years.

Mazza is still in the early stages of her pregnancy, so unfortunately we currently have no idea whether the couple will be waving the blue or pink flag this time around. However, we do know the baby is due in late summer, around the September date when Gia was born. The couple, of course, broke the news via an episode of Extra, and later spoke to US Weekly about how Mazza’s been doing during her pregnancy.

“I’m in that stage where I can’t fit into my regular clothes anymore but I can’t fit into maternity clothes yet either. But I’m good, it’s all good!”

Mazza may be dealing with pregnancy cravings and the like, but the couple may have a bigger challenge on their hands. They haven’t quite figured out how to explain to Gia the changes that are going on with her mommy’s body, but Lopez says he hopes Gia will get it once Mazza’s belly grows a little more.

Whether the couple has to end up having a lengthy cause-and-effect conversation with Gia or she eventually gets it on her own, Pop Blend wishes the couple the very best as they prepare for baby #2. With lots of love and plenty of resources, they should be able to offer the little guy or girl everything he or she needs.
