One of the biggest New Year’s Eve celebrations takes place in Times Square every year.
If you have wanted to ring in the new year with a bang, Times Square provides you the opportunity to send your hopes, dreams, and resolutions through the sky for the upcoming year.
Have you ever wondered if the confetti falling from the sky was more than just a celebratory decoration?
According to ABC 7, the 2019 New Year’s Eve bash marks the fourth year in a row that the Times Square Alliance printed wishes from people around the world on the confetti.
If you are interested in sending your wishes through the sky in Times Square, there are two ways to submit.
Here’s how to create your very own “wishfetti.”
- VISIT THE “WISHING WALL” – If you in New York City (NYC) any time within the month of December, you can submit your wish in person between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. until Dec. 29 at the NYE Wishing Wall. You can find this organization in Times Square on the Broadway Plaza between 46th and 47th street.
- SUBMIT YOUR WISH ONLINE – For those who cannot make it to NYC, you can share your wishes and resolutions on social media sites such as Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #CONFETTIWISH. If you prefer to keep it off social media, you can fill out the online form.
A video posted to Twitter demonstrates what it’s like to submit your wish in person.
On Twitter, @TimesSquareNYC shared footage of the Good Morning America staff adding their wishes for the 2019 midnight ball drop:
