Congratulations are in order for SNL funny gal Aidy Bryant, as she tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend comedy writer Conner O’Malley over the weekend.
Bryant announced her surprise nuptials in an Instagram post, sharing a photo of the newlyweds walking down the aisle as friends and family happily applaud them.
The wedding was kept under wraps, as was the engagement. Aidy did mention her engagement when she was a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers back in April 2017, saying O’Malley had proposed to her six months earlier. Bryant and O’Malley started dating in 2008 after the young performers met at the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago.
Some of Aidy’s SNL co-stars in attendance were Weekend Update’s Michael Che, Kate McKinnon and Mike O’Brien.
Aidy admits to not being a fan of the term ‘fiance’ and had this to say when she spoke with People magazine back in June of 2017: “I can’t say the word ‘fiancé,’ it just feels corny to me.” She added, “We’re gonna go straight from ‘boyfriend-and-girlfriend’ to ‘husband-and-wife’ and skip this little fancy in-between period.”
Best wishes to the newlyweds!
