Shepard Smith is joining the lineup of CNBC, the network announced last week. Smith left FOX News in October after 23 years at the conservative news network.
Smith’s new show is called The News with Shepard Smith is set to debut in the fall, likely in time for the Presidential Election. Smith spent 23 years at FOX hosting shows like The Fox Report, Studio B, and Shepard Smith Reporting. He also served as Chief News Anchor for Fox.
Shepard joins CNBC as the Chief General News Anchor . “I am honored to continue to pursue the truth, both for CNBC’s loyal viewers and for those who have been following my reporting for decades in good times and in bad,” Smith said in a press release.
Smiths new CNBC show will take the place of CNBC’s 7 PM Coronavirus updates.
