RiffTrax is Doing ‘Mothra’ LIVE on August 18th

The masterminds of movie mockery Mike, Kevin and Bill of Rifftrax continue to keep the flame of Mystery Science Theater alive in the 21st Century with their latest live riffing event.

The guys will take the stage in Nashville and take on the biggest grandma’s-sweater-destroying monster since the invention of the washing machine: “Mothra!” “Mothra” tells the story of a group of explorers who travel to a remote island, kidnap two tiny women, inciting the wrath of a giant larvae which then swims the ocean, cocoons itself in downtown Tokyo, emerges as the titular Mothra and destroys everything in its path. Yes, it’s a tale as old as time, but Mothra does it best!

Along with the usual thrills and chills, there will be more larvae than you know what to do with, unless you happen to be a super enthusiastic entomologist. Witness the show live and in person August 18th at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville. The show will also be broadcast live to theaters nationwide (find out where here).
