Rock legend and guitarist for the band Queen, Brian May, announced that he had suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. May’s doctor’s told him that he had three blocked arteries after he felt pain in the left side of his chest for 40 minutes.
On Instagram, the 42-year-old guitarists said that he suffered the heart attack not too long after ripping his buttock muscles. May claims that he was in “agony” after his injury as if someone was “putting a screwdriver in my back”.
May also claims that the heart attack was “small” saying,
“In the middle of the whole saga of the painful backside, I had a small heart attack. I say small, it’s not something that did me any harm.
“It was about 40 minutes of pain in the chest and tightness. It’s that feeling in the arms and sweating.”
Doctors urged May to have open heart surgery but the rocker opted for three stents instead.
May finished his health update by saying “I was very near death because of this, the pain I had was from something completely different but I’m good. I’m ready to rock.”
We wish May a speedy and successful recovery.
