-TO INFINITY OR NOT TO INFINITY?

I am a longtime superfan of the Infinity Gauntlet story and of Thanos as a greater character. So a few years ago when I saw that the man behind that comic, Jim Starlin, had an original hardcover called The Thanos Revelation, I was all in. It wasn’t great. Not terrible by any means, but it was its own weird dumb thing that both felt too large to matter and also so unconnected as to feel tiny.

So imagine my struggle when I saw that there was a followup miniseries called The Infinity Entity. And even more so when I didn’t love this comic either, and on top of that it’s not even centered on Thanos (at least not yet). And to add further injury, the recap page mentions an upcoming original graphic novel called The Thanos Finale. So if I don’t read this, I’m cutting myself off from a book that I would definitely be interested it. Likewise if I do, and it doesn’t improve, I’m on the hook for the better part of two more story arcs. I don’t love either choice. And I’m stuck. At least it looks to be a weekly series, so I won’t have to wait too long to make my decision.
