-GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS
Oh Daredevil. You’re perfectly fine, but I’m so tired of you. For the first time in almost twenty years, the Daredevil comic isn’t interesting. Diggle’s run wasn’t very good but it wasn’t for a dearth of strong ideas; it was just painted into a corner and took the easy path out. Bob Gale’s handful of issues in the very early 2000s was a letdown, but it quickly stepped aside. And besides, it had its Silver Age charm, even if it wasn’t for me. You’re just aping Frank Miller’s work on the book, minus any of the innovation or strong story. I can hope that I’m wrong about this one and you’ve got an ace up your sleeve, but my faith has been shaken and I can’t go on.
Goodbye Daredevil. I’ll miss you. At least we’ll still have Netflix.
