-GOODNIGHT, FRANK CASTLE
Punisher MAX, under Garth Ennis and Jason Aaron among others, has been a surprisingly deep and thoughtful look at what makes a man an antihero; a mass murderer of the worst of humanity;  a soldier whose war can only end one way. I am hopeful that the series’ cancellation was not due to low sales, but because they wish to launch a third volume down the road under another writer with a fresh take on what goes on in the Punisher’s mind…although this issue did not seem to leave things very open-ended. Hopefully the next (final?) issue has the answer.
