-AN AMAZING WEEK OF COMICS

On a slow week, pretty much anything from Ultimate Spidey up could have been my favorite book of the week.  Fatale is always amazing and it’s just getting going.  Daredevil continues to be one of the happiest comics being printed today.  I feared Stormwatch would suffer from a creative team changeover, but the impact was fairly slight and it’s still the same book that I loved (although it’s changing writers AGAIN next month, so…fingers crossed).  Animal Man and Swamp Thing are both gaining some killer steam as they barrel toward their cataclysmic crossover.  And the Boys.  Oh man, the Boys.  After years of incremental plot progression, mini-series of backstory, and tangental history lessons, the Boys has finally paid off.

But at the end of the day, Casanova is Casanova.  And this third arc has taken the story on yet another crazy turn.  The thought that there are seven arcs planned, and this story isn’t even halfway told yet is both amazing and frightening.  Where else can Casanova Quinn go from here?
