According to SeekingAlpha, Netflix is testing a premium tier subscription model.
Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is testing a new premium service in Europe priced at about €16.99 (~$20.00) that allows subscribers to watch 4K content with HDR quality on four different screens at once. It appears two versions of the plan are being tested with slight differences on pricing and screen limits.
Further down the road, the “Ultra” plan could mean higher prices for many households in the U.S. and Europe if the company rolls it out officially. Netflix is widely believed to have some upside pricing power before consumers push back.
This new model would open up the gates for Netflix to offer high quality content for a small premium,
