The defunct movie ticket subscription service MoviePass is teasing a comeback.
On the website, MoviePass.ventures, a countdown clock has appeared with a. Message saying “The movie is about to start.” However, the website was only registered this last month after Mark Walberg’s production company announced a docuseries about MoviePass.
MoviePass is most famous for offering unlimited movie tickets for $10 a month. The business model was not able to be sustained and the company shut down in September of 2019.
When the service shutdown, the owners Helios and Matheson said the company was “continuing its efforts to seek financing to fund its operations.” MoviePass has not commented on the rumors.
