Morbius trailer and what it means for the MCU.

This week the new trailer for  another Spider-man villain movie came out called Morbius. For those of you not in the know Morbius is called the living vampire and has been in the comics since 1971, since then he has appeared in the animated series for Spider-man and in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 as well as a playable hero. However, while the trailer was awesome and I can’t wait to see what they do with the character I am more interested in the two major MCU Easter eggs that were in the trailer.  First things first as you can see from the cover photo we see Mobius walking past a picture of the Sam Rami spider suit with the word Murder written over it.

What does this mean? Well this means that this movie has ties to Tom Hollands Spider-man because in Far From Home Mysterio tricks the world into thinking Spider-man killed him. So, this actually takes places after that fact in the MCU story. Now, does this mean that Morbius and Venom are now in the MCU? Well honestly I am not sure. It safe bet to say to no though. When Marvel and Sony work out it’s new deal to keep Spider-man in the MCU this new deal also allowed Tom Hollands Spider-man to be apart of what Sony was doing with Venom and Morbius. As well as any other character they decide to make a movie about.

Which is why we also get this amazing last twist in the Trailer that shows Micheal Keaton’s Vulture from, Spider-man homecoming, will also play a part in the movie. We’ve known for a long time Sony has wanted to make a Sinister Six movie, with so far Vulture, Scorpion,  Shocker, Mysterio (because he’s so not dead), and now Morbius we have almost a  full set of members to make this become a reality. While the movie itself might not happen now, after the nee deal that was made, what we can expect is to get them appearing  altogether in a future Spider-man movie, that much is clear.

When that will be no one is sure all that we know next it that there is a new Spider-man movie slated for July 17th, 2021 we have no idea who the main villain will be next go around or what the The Vulture being in the Morbius movie means for Spider-man. All I can say for certain is the next Spider-man is sure to be amazing and this Morbius movie has so much potential to tell a fresh story on a not very well known villain.

If you want to see the trailer it’s right here. Enjoy!
