What led you to a career in music?
Nonstop singing! Just a love of music that I could never escape (nor did I want to). It has consumed my life above all else. My father Paul plays guitar and sings, so I was always around music growing up. As a boy, I was obsessed with ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ theme by Waylon Jennings, “Good Ol Boys” and Back to the Future’s Marty McFly playing Johnny B. Goode on stage made me want to do that too!
Tell us about your very first gig?
Century Lounge in Providence, RI. It was a cold, winter Tuesday night. I was nervous to play a few originals and cover songs like Bob Seger’s ‘Turn the Page’ and Stone Temple Pilots ‘Plush’, but it was a great start to my playing career and I was instantly hooked.
