John Stamos announces Full House spin off
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, John Stamos confirmed the rumors that Netflix has picked up the Full House spin off titled Fuller House. In the video below, Stamos says that he just got the clearance form Netflix to announce the deal live on Kimmel.
Netflix has ordered 13 episodes of the spin-off. Now word on if it can be more than one season or multiple seasons. Stamos said that the first episode will be an hour long reunion show, then the spin-off officially begins with Stamos and the gang giving DJ the house.
“We’ve been working on this for many, many years. The original creator, Jeff Franklin, and Bob Boyett and Tom Miller, we were trying to do some kind of spinoff. We wanted to give credit to the legacy. We didn’t want to just sort of throw it away,” Stamos told Kimmel. “It starts sort of as a reunion and then spins off. … Candace has three boys and it’s sort of a reversal. And we turn the house over to her. But it’s a labor of love. We’ve been literally trying for so many years to do it right. And I think we finally got it perfect.”
No word on if the Olsen twins will be on the show, as of yet.
