John Mayer and Katy Perry—the hottest on-again-off-again couple from the past year outside of Jelena—is definitely hooking up. Musically, that is.
Perry will lend her voice to a track on Mayer’s upcoming album Paradise Valley—due August 20th—called “Who You Love.” The “Teenage Dream” singer and divorcee recently opened up about her relationship with the pseudo-lothario, stating, “He pulled away. That was a big hello for me.” Enough of a “hello” to officially say “buh-bye?” Eh, it’s hard to keep straight at this point.
Looking back in music history, there are some wonderful examples of tense ex-lovers collaborating to create solid gold: Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac on “The Chain,” Gwen Stefani and No Doubt’s bassist Tony Kanal on “Don’t Speak.” Maybe this Jaty (Kohn? There’s really no good option…) collab will follow suit.
