The extremely popular company behind the plant-based beef, Impossible Foods, has unveiled a new meatless “pork” option. In 2019, Impossible Foods showcased their beef option and this year, according to the New York Post, stole the show with their pork.
The Post says that the pork is “tasty”. The Impossible Burger imitates beef really well. It bleeds and tastes like a real piece of beef. “Impossible Pork is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing to this reporter’s taste buds. The texture is fatty with the right amount of chew, and the flavor would give any supermarket ground pork a run for its money.”
“In the last 18 months, we have opened offices in Hong Kong and Singapore and seen the demand for our beef products there,” Impossible Foods president Dennis Woodside told The Post. “It’s a pretty obvious next step for us to lean into pork.”
According to the Post, Impossible Food’s pork is designed to be kosher and halal certified. The company also announced the plans to launch Impossible Sausage for the Burger King brand.
