‘iCarly’ is being revived at Paramount+, all the major cast members returning

ViacomCBS is relaunching iCarly for their upcoming streaming platform.

Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor. and Nathan Kress are signed on to return for the reboot. Jay Kogen (The Simpsons) and Ali Schouten (Merry Happy Whatever) are developing the show. Nickelodeon Studios is developing the show for the platform. No further details of the revival have been announced.

Paramount+ will be launching in early 2021 as ViacomCBS rebrands their CBS All Access service. iCarly was a cult favorite for millennials. Reviving iCarly will bring both the millennials and young viewers to the new service.

The streaming wars is kicking into full gear as the market begins to get crowded. Some could argue that it has been crowded. Currently, we have the big players in Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. In the last two years, we’ve seen the addition of Disney+, Apple TV+, Peacock (NBC), HBO MAX (joining HBO Now and HBO Go), and Youtube’s original offerings.
