HQ Trivia, the once fames trivia game show app, closed down in February after massive waning in popularity for the platform, returned on Sunday night with some decent numbers.
According to the New York Post, an anonymous investor helped restructure the company and funded the app once again.
“The demand from all of you was unstoppable. The need is greater than ever,” host Matt Richards told thousands of HQ players at the start of Sunday’s show. “Tonight we are back to stay, and staying positive in these unsteady times.”
As part of the return for HQ Trivia, the host announced that they will be matching the nightly winnings as a donation to charity of their choice. The company has pledged $100,00 to World Central Kitchen.
