2020 has so far been a year of well you read the title Delay after Delay, with games like CyberPunk 2077 being delayed till fall of this year. The question is however is this a good thing or bad thing ? Well I for one would like to say for most of the games that have been delayed this year this a positive. Here are the games that are delayed as well at there new release date.
Cyberpunk 2077: Was April 16 20202 Now September 17, 2020
The Last Of Us Part 2 : Was February Now May 29, 2020
Marvels Avengers: Was May Now September 4, 2020
Final Fantasy 7 remake: was March 3, 2020 Now April 10, 2020
Dying Light 2 : Delayed indefinitely
Obviously, I might have missed a few, these at least are the big ones that art coming out this year. Thankfully most of these games delays aren’t that long with Cyberpunk 2077 and Avengers being the longest one. No one for the most part is upset by this news because a lot of these games are the big AAA games we all have been waiting years to play and giving these studios more time to work on them is the best way to insure they are going to be great games.
Now, about Dying Light 2 this game may never see the light of day if I am honest while having another great zombie game come out would be awesome to see I doubt it will ever see the light day. Techland is no strangers to delays with Dead Island 2 being on the back burner for them all of this generation. I find it hard to believe this game will ever come out if you were excited about this one you might want to start looking for another zombie game to play.
All of these delayed minus Dying Light 2 are a positive thing while studios have come out and said there is going to be some more crunch time for out Devs making these games which is always unfortunate and stressful. We are all hoping this can allow the Devs the time they need to work and now have to crunch at all if the can. However, everyone seems to be in high spirits this year patiently awaiting the new wave of AAA games that are going to be hitting in the next few months and all of fall.
