It was announced earlier this week that Rey Mysterio had signed a two year deal with WWE and his involvement with AroLucha was now up in the air. We reached out to AroLucha’s CEO, Jason Brown, for comment. Here’s what he had to say:
We all agreed that when the time came and Rey decided to go there, AroLucha would always be a place that he could own and come back to. Our contract with Rey expires at the end of this year, but his ownership and involvementJason Brown
doesnot. We will continue to build AroLucha the same as we have, growing new talent and contracting with established existing talent.
Just for the record, this was not a surprise to us. While we hate to see him be unavailable for us for two years, we are proud that he has the ability to take care of his family, end his career where he started, and get a great boost for the sunset of his career.”
