Airbnb Hires New CFO

Airbnb has made a big new hire: A new Chief Financial Officer. The new CFO comes directly from Amazon. His name? Dave Stephenson. Stephenson is joining Airbnb as the company begins to work toward an Initial Public Offering to raise capital.

Uber Taxes

Mexico has been trying to come up with ways to help with Tax collection. According to Bloomberg Technology, Mexico is implementing a new tax payment system and Uber is the first company to sign up for the new service. In what can only be seen as a big step forward for Uber, the company will begin to collect taxes on behalf of their drivers and pay it directly to the government.

Facebook’s Messenger Bug

Facebook had a bug affecting its messengering platform on Monday. The bug would cause old messages, some from years ago, to pop up an open on its own. Many users report getting messages popping up from loved ones who had passed away. One user even said that she got a message from the day her loved one passed away.

Facebook claims they have fixed the problem an apologized for any inconvenience.
