KROQ’s website is reporting that there is some new music with Chester Bennington singing that might be coming out in the near future.
According to the report, Mark Morton of Lamb of God recorded music with Chester in April of 2017. The music was a join project between the two and unfortunately, Chester took his own life before the music could be released.
Morton was asked on Twitter about the music and he responded that fans will be able to hear it but didn’t give a time table of information.
Slash has also gone on the record and state that he has tracks of the original recording of his song “Doctor Alibi” that features Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead. The song was originally recorded with Chester Bennington.
Slash told Variety
We did a song and Linkin Park at the time didn’t allow it to happen, so I did it with Lemmy. The guy who engineered my demos sent it to me and I sent it to Chester’s family. But it was a trip cause the song really speaks to his state of mind.”
Slash noted that since the song is now in the possession of Chester’s family, it would be their decision to release it. “It would be fine with me if they wanted to. Musically it’s basically the same as the Lemmy song, but the lyrics are really poignant.”Variety
We hope to hear this music soon!
