Bobby Flay has signed an extension deal with The Food Network at the last minute.
The New York Post is reporting that Flay had been cut off by Discovery Networks when the chef demanded $100 millions. Flay had been with The Food Network for 27 years.
Flay is a renowned chef, restauranteur, and cook book author. His hit show, Beat Bobby Flay, will begin production soon. The network and Flay will also produce a new show with the chef and his 25-year-old daughter tentatively titled Bobby and Sophie on the Coast.
“Although these talks to renew took a little longer than expected, the important thing is that both sides are happy that we can now build on an already rock solid foundation,” said Flay, 56.
Flay’s $100 million demand comes following the news of Guy Fieri’s $80 million contract.
