Big Bang Theory stars take pay cut

The original 5 cast members of The Big Bang Theory have offered to take a pay cut to help lower paid co-stars. The last hurdle to Warner Bros. TV and CBS clinching a two-season renewal of “The Big Bang Theory” is setting a new contract with actresses Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch.

Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg all make $1,000,000 an episode. This is a surprising move for actors to make but it showcases the respect they have for one another. Each of the original 5 have offered up $100,000 from their contract, making an additional $500,000 available for Bialik and Rauch.

If the two actresses were to split that half a million, it would bump them both up to the $420,000 mark. That would make their lives a whole lot more comfortable.

What do you think about this move? Would you give up money so that a co-worker could get a raise?
