Looks like the future is “folding” for Samsungs forward thinking phone, the Samsung Fold. When Samsung had unveiled the Fold, it was going to be the phone that propelled the brand into the future. However, a string of malfunctions on the company’s review phones has taken a major toll on the device.
When the malfunctions began, Samsung decided to postpone their launch of the device. Now, AT&T is cancelling their pre-orders of the Fold. According to Mashable, AT&T sent out a notice saying that customers who pre-ordered the Fold would be able to order once the phone was available. Customers would also be receiving a $100 AT&T Promotional Card.
Samsung has not announced a new release date for their almost $2,000 foldable phone.
