Democratic Presidential hopeful Andrew Yang has laid off part of his staff. Business Insider is reporting the layoffs happened late Wednesday.
Yang was only able to secure 1% of the Iowa delegates. A bulk of the Yang layoffs were in their digital/communication departments.
According to the Yang team, the layoffs were planned. Campaign manager Zach Graumann confirmed the layoffs saying “this was the plan all along”.
Graumann told Business Insider that the layoffs were “part of our original plans following the Iowa caucuses, we are winding down our Iowa operations and restructuring to compete as the New Hampshire primary approaches.”
