Adam Levine has found his angel. He’s back together with Behati Prinsloo–and we’re not talking simply “One More Night,” here. The “Voice” coach/Maroon 5 frontman and hismodel girlfriend, who split up just a few months ago, are now headed for the altar.
That means a whole lotta nights ahead of them!
Levine’s camp confirmed on Tuesday the couple’s plans to marry, according to People. After a very recent reunion, Levine reportedly popped the question over the past weekend inLos Angeles. The pair are “excited” about their announcement, notes a rep for the singer.
The rocker, 34, began dating the Namibian-born beauty, 24, about a year ago. She has a long modeling resume but is perhaps best-known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
His decision to marry may come as a surprise to fans, who have become used to his parade of supermodel girlfriends. Prior to Prinsloo, he was linked to Sports Illustrated bikini babe Anne Vyalitsyna. During his brief split from Prinsloo this year, he was seen out and about (as recently as late last month) with yet another professional beauty, Nina Agdal.
However, Levine recently mentioned to Details that although he’s “fiercely independent,” he’s also “terrified of being alone.” He’s also reportedly a bit weary of being known simply as a ladies’ man: “I’ve always felt a little misrepresented in the world,” he noted in the interview. “I felt like people only knew me as a singer who dated pretty girls. A little bit of a bimbo.
“Maybe I was kind of a bimbo … I was the dude that was naked all the time with girls, and that’s fine, no problem with that. But I wanted to create a little balance. When [‘The Voice’] came around, I thought, ‘People now know that I have a brain.'”
At any rate, Levine probably won’t give away too much about his upcoming wedding, if he has his way in the matter. “Publicizing a relationship is dicey to me,” he told Details. “I don’t think any relationship responds well to pressure. We’re both under so much pressure to begin with. Why not keep this beautiful island of distraction to ourselves?”
