FOX has released a trailer for their new singing competition show, The Four. No word on who is going to be judging the show, but we can say that FOX is hoping The Four will compete with ABC’s reboot of American Idol and the powerhouse show of The Voice.
Jimmy Fallon got a lot of hate after his infamous interview with now President Donald J. Trump in September. Many critics of both Trump and Fallon point to this interview as the momentum flip in the race for the White House.
Fallon says he was “Devastated” by the feed back of that interview.
Do you think Fallon should be getting this hate?
Nobody ran the table Sunday when members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association gathered in the The Beverly Hilton Sunday night to give the the Golden Globe awards for the 74th time. As usual, many in the entertainment world are hoping to find glimpse of the future in the Globes crystal Oscar ball. Will it happen? We won’t know until February. Until then it was a night for the elite of Hollywood to drink, laugh and show off in front of each other.
La La Land and Donald Glover came as close to dominating the night as anyone. We have a complete list of winners below. But first, let’s run down the opening of the show.
Hosted by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, the night started of course with the red carpet. Seven days of rich people wearing fancy clothes and talking to entertainment reporters. OK, maybe not seven days, but it was a while.
The show proper started with a La La Land homage. Jimmy Fallon started off singing in a limo waiting to get to the red carpet. He was then joined in song by nominees singing in the street. Among many movie and TV references Jimmy made his way to the Globes stage. Two highlight: Rami Malek as his Mr. Robot character confronting Jimmy with some comprising pictures; and the rap breakdown by the Stranger Things kids. Oh, and Barb is alive in case you didn’t know, or care.
The open then cut to Jimmy backstage on piano joined by Ryan Reynolds lounging on the top of the instrument. They shared a mint and Jimmy sang about the “Room Full of Stars.” Next Tina Fey was there, no longer extorting walnuts from airplane passengers, she tried to confess her love for Jimmy, but Jimmy only has eyes for Justin. Timberlake takes Jimmy up an magical staircase to the clouds where they dance. Then JT makes fun of Jimmy and ushers him onto the stage.
The monologue started with a malfunctioning teleprompter, prompting Jimmy to vamp with several exclamations about how crazy the evening will be, you know drunk stars and all. Tech got fixed quick, much to Mariah’s chagrin, and the jokes started with a fine popular vote jab. Then Fallon went to the audience shout-out portion of the monologue which included a bit about Ryan Gosling’s pianist and an odd Chris Rock. After a few more jokes and shout-outs to Jeff Bazos and Matt Damon the awards began.

The NEW Celebrity Apprentice opens up with a recap of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s career. Then the introduce the new specialists Steve Ballmer, Warren Buffet, Tyra Banks and Jessica Alba. The preview in the opening shows that this season will be incredibly entertaining.
The celebrity cast show up at “Schwarzenegger Inc” where the receptionist welcomes them with “Mr. Schwarzenegger will be with you shortly”. I will say this, Chael Sonnen looked really confused.
It only took a few minutes to find out what his catch phrase will be…”Terminated”. The contestants are broken up into boys and girls and we see the boys trying to get a team name. Matt Iseman showcases his love for Arnold and they end up with “Team Aret”. The ladies are seen next trying to come up with a team name and Snooki showcases stupidity by suggesting the name “Vagina”.
We are introduced to Tyra Banks in the boardroom. We are introduced Arnold’s cousin Patrick Schwarzenegger. Their first task at hand is to create a 10 minute “Tyra Beauty” experience and will be judged by the experience and product knowledge.
The boys are having to convince Boy George to manage the project. Tyra then goes into the meeting rooms to showcase the products and it looks like the boys are getting really hands on.
The guys decide to do a “Man on the street” make over and argue on who should be applying makeup. The girls decided to have models test the makeup and do commentary on how easy it is for an average woman to apply the makeup. Boy George decides to have the guys practice applying the make up.
Its time for presentation and in comes Tyra, Patrick and Arnold. The girls are up first and they do a “TyOver”. Carnie Wilson takes the microphone and belts out “Refresh Your Face” and does not impress Arnold. Matt Iseman comes out and showcases the future of pitchman. All the guys are doing amazing! I truly thought they took the challenge above and beyond the call of duty.
Its now time for the decision in the boardroom. Arnold made it clear that you need to call him “Governor”. Tyra thought the girls didn’t utilize their persona’s but thought the guys did a great team. Boy George gets $50k for his charity and Arnold excuses the guys.
Porscha volunteers Snooki to be fired. Arnold fires Carrie and sends her to the “Choppa”.
End of hour one.
We come back for hour two in the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. The next project with Trident and the Apprentices need to write an original song and music video for the brand. Carnie Wilson is elected Project Manager for Prima and Jon Lovitz for the guys.
Prima come up with a great idea of Alia having a “Knockout Smile” and the guys come up with a bad idea at first.
We cut to the guys writing their song. Vince and Boy George are working on their song. Boy George is having a hard time with Vince’s drinking. The girls are back working on their song and music video at the same time. They make a mistake of filming sideways. The girls have to start over.
Porsha and Carnie clash over time. Its time to play the commercial.
The girls play their commercial and the advisers don’t seem happy. The guys play theirs and the advisers still don’t seem happy. Arnold tears both team. Ultimately, the guys win! Jon Lovitz chooses St Jude Children’s Hospital.
Now it’s time for the woman to battle it out. Carnie chooses Leslie and Snooki back to the boardroom. Arnold fires Carnie WIlson, and rightfully so. Arnold told Carnie that she made a mistake not choosing Kyle.
The Voice is on fire right now. Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys killed week one and are giving Blake and Adam a run for their money!
Here are the top 3 auditions in the first week of season 11.
The mother of a young child, Lauren brought the feels to the Voice. Such a crazy awesome audition.
Vice President Joe Biden will guest star on the second episode of the new season of NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU,” set to air Wednesday, Sept. 28 (9-10 p.m. ET/PT).
The Vice President will appear as himself in a press conference scene where he commends the SVU, led by Lt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), for their work in addressing the national rape kit backlog, specifically in the city of Detroit.
The issue reflects the real-life efforts of Biden and series star Hargitay, who both recently spoke at the United State of Women Summit at the White House in June to address the national backlog of untested rape kits, and the pervasive culture of violence and sexual assault against women.
The Vice President was also honored by Hargitay’s Joyful Heart Foundation last May for his commitment to ending domestic violence and sexual assault.
The 18th season of “Law & Order: SVU” premieres Wednesday, September 21 on NBC.
