-DEATH OF THE FAMILY
The Joker has been watching. Waiting. Jealous of the family that Batman has fostered. Angry that he has neglected his true family in Arkham. Unhappy that surrounding himself with children has made him weak. But the Joker has been watching them. He’s been watching all of them. Observing their weaknesses. And now he’s back. He took his face back. And he’s going to make his Bat-King strong by striking his children with the things they fear most. Some may live. Some may die. But the Batman belongs to Joker, and he will never forget that again.
(The above was cobbled together from the comments of Scott Snyder at the Batman: Death Comes to Gotham panel at NYCC. I’m very excited to see how dark this goes.)
