-THE BATMAN, FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Detective Comics has some interesting ideas, but the execution is lackluster.  Batman and Robin is a similar mixed bag.  Batman:  The Dark Knight is just hot garbage.  But the flagship title, Batman, has been a perfect mix of fun and fury, starring a Batman who has shown himself to be both a great detective and a worthy opponent for any villain looking for a fight.  The book also features a fantastic costar in the city of Gotham itself.  To put it simply, Scott Snyder is writing the best Batman in the new DC.
